Another beautiful, warm,
calm, sunny day but with the weather not changing much there was not much
change in the birds either; a flock of 18 Ravens flew south and there was a Red-throated Pipit around the
lighthouse while single Little Stint and Whimbrel overhead were the wader
highlights and a few more Sparrowhawks were on the move.
The area was very quiet in the afternoon with a few
flocks of Siskins going over the only real thing of note although the PALLID HARRIER, 2 Hen Harriers, a Marsh
Harrier, a big female Goshawk and quite a few Sparrowhawks and Kestrels were
out over the fields at various times through the afternoon / evening.
There was no sign of the Sharp-tailed Sandpiper on the little roadside pool today but this Spotted Redshank was still there with a few Ruff
Marsh Harrier
