19th September

Bright and sunny but the strong NW wind remained although a bit lighter in the morning; the sea was a bit quieter than yesterday with a single Brent Goose the pick with a handful of Gannets and Guillemots with the morning’s highlights over the land with a big female Goshawk cruising over and a single Lapland Bunting heading along the coast.

A few little bits along the coast included 2 Grey Plovers, a Bar-tailed Godwit, 2 Sanderling, at least 4 Grey Wagtails with a noticeable increase in Rock Pipits and Meadow Pipits all along the shore, the Shoveler in Sevika and a Common Sandpiper.   Inland it was still very empty in the strong winds of the afternoon with single Redstart and Whitethroat, 2 Treecreepers and a group of 9 Ruff on the floods by the Radiomastene.
