A final walk over to Vallen in the morning before heading off to the coast (on a typically perfect morning for ringing now that the season has finished!) produced a male Bullfinch by the house (a final Kvismaren tick!), single Rough-legged Buzzard and Hen Harrier – a fine adult male, 2 Sparrowhawks properly migrating high south, a massive 1cy female Peregrine diving through 400+ Lapwings and at least 35 very active Bearded Tits at Vallen, constantly flying up very high in small groups calling loudly, presumably as a precursor to heading off.
