NORTH RONALDSAY - 19th June

Heavy rain through most of the morning so I went out to do the Hooking census route in the afternoon where birds included a few ducks on the loch with a drake Pintail, 9 Shoveler and 8 Gadwall while there were c70 big, Black-headed Gull chicks with most of them flying now; other birds of note were 6 Bar-tailed Godwits and a male Sparrowhawk by the surgery.
