NORTH RONALDSAY - 14th June

Good conditions with light winds and bits of sun poking through; there were just baby Blackbirds and Linnets in the nets first thing before birds along the west coast census route included a Curlew Sandpiper on Gretchen, a single Golden Plover on Westbeach, 45 Turnstone and 20 Sanderling in Lenswick, 21 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, a Kestrel which flew south over Holland and the Black-throated Diver again in Nouster.
