A similar day to yesterday
– very sunny but with a cold NW wind (albeit lighter than yesterday); I had a
change of routine and had a walk along Nordhasselvika Beach, just east of Lista
where birds in the bay included 15 Slavonian Grebes, 2 Red-necked Grebes, 3
Great-northern Divers, 25 Velvet Scoter and 30 Long-tailed Ducks while a few
flocks of Common Gulls continued to head north and a White-tailed Eagle and a Merlin cruised around.
A walk round the area later on was very quiet with a
smart male Stonechat (only a scarce migrant here) near the
Radiomastene and a few groups of Linnets heading north-west.
