Still calm but with much
more cloud cover, had a seawatch first thing where birds included 8 Sooty
Shearwaters, 9 Manx Shearwaters, 125 Gannets and c700 Fulmars in an hour. I then went back up to do the northern
census route where things of note comprised 2 Merlins (juvenile male and
female), a Kestrel, a flock of 9 Wigeon (first ones for ages), 12 Wheatears, 10
Knot and 32 Bar-tailed Godwits.
