NORTH RONALDSAY - 14th August

Drizzle and rain drifted in and out through the day with the very light SE winds swinging round into the SW but the seemingly good conditions failed to produce much with a walk round the northern census route in the early afternoon just producing a single Willow Warbler at Senness.   Also of note were the 2 Roseate Terns still, showing well around the foghorn, one of the juvenile Mediterranean Gulls feeding just off Bewan and good numbers of waders around the top end including 9 Knot, 220+ Turnstone, 42 Purple Sandpipers and 80+ Dunlin.
