NORTH RONALDSAY - 10th August

Yet another glorious day with wall to wall sunshine and light westerly winds, went around the Brides census route in the morning where birds included three juvenile Mediterranean Gulls feeding in the surf around the point at high tide (a fourth was at the north end!) along with 13 Knot (with the first four juveniles of the autumn), 70+ Turnstone, 50 Dunlin and my first juvenile Kittiwake of the autumn, a Greenshank and two Black-tailed Godwits on the loch and a Willow Warbler at Kirbest.
