NORTH RONALDSAY - 24th July

Overcast throughout the day with spells of light drizzle coming and going; I had a seawatch for an hour first thing which produced 2 Manx Shearwaters, a Storm Petrel and 103 Puffins before a walk round the Brides census route didn’t produce too much with just the Black-throated Diver, 71 Dunlin, 36 Sanderling, 57 Curlew and the 4 Collared Doves of note.

The drizzly afternoon dropped a few waders in with a juvenile Wood Sandpiper at Cauldhame the highlight along with a few bits of Gretchen including a Little Stint and 11 Black-tailed Godwits.
