Warm, calm and sunny again so most of the day was spent
searching for Tystie nests and going through the remaining Arctic Tern colonies
(there was a fledged and flying juvenile on the north Links!) so there was not
too much time for much else; birds seen here and there included an impressive 5 Red-necked Phalaropes now on
Gretchen, the Black-tailed Godwit still and 110 Turnstone, 16 Sanderling and 3
Knot at the top of The Links, roosting around the Tern colony.
Caught
a new Leach’s Petrel at Twingness,
near the Obs overnight along with 20 Storm Petrels.
More Red-necked Phalaropes
Black Guillemot action
