Calmer than predicted so I went up to Holland for a few
hours with the nets and managed to catch 6 Redwings and a Blackbird; other
birds there included a Goldcrest, a Carrion Crow and 5 Woodpigeons.
The
Hooking census route was then fairly quiet with a pair of Garganey still on the loch along with 9 Shoveler, 2 Pintail and 2
Gadwall, the huge 1st winter female Peregrine again, 3 Rooks south
and 6 Wheatears while 2 Great-northern Divers and 2 Long-tailed Ducks were still
offshore.
