A dreadful day with strong, cold westerly winds and persistent
rain lasting pretty much throughout; a few hours around the north census route
produced a few things including a smart adult Iceland Gull at Garso which flew off south towards The Links, a
Snow Bunting, 10 Redwings, a Chiffchaff, the lingering Goldeneye on Bewan with
5 Red-breasted Mergansers and 50+ Purple Sandpipers.
