NORTH RONALDSAY - 8th April

A very different day with complete cloud cover but hardly a breath of wind and mist coming in late afternoon; there wasn’t too much different in the Brides census route where high numbers of Great-northern Divers offshore were the main feature with 42+ counted round from The Lurn to Linklet Bay.   The Kumlien’s Gull was again on Brides while other birds included 2 Woodcock, 72+ Fieldfare, 45+ Skylarks, 40+ Redwings, 26 Linnets, 2 Snow Buntings and the 3 Barnacle Geese below The Mill again.
