A strong SE wind made
things difficult but it remained dry and bright; the highlight of the northern
census route was the first Manx Shearwater of the year past the
seawatch hide with 6 Puffins, 5 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, a few Pipits coming
in off and a Merlin far out at sea.
Other birds of note comprised 2 Black Redstarts including an adult male,
14 Wheatears, a Chiffchaff, 16 Robins, 30 Redwings and still a female Goldeneye
on Bewan.
