Another generally horrible day with brief spells of
sunshine sliced up by nasty hail and rain showers pushed through by the still
force 8 westerly gale; the west coast census route was pretty exposed but did
produce 2 Grey Plovers on Torness, a new adult male Hen Harrier and 4 confiding
Snow Buntings including a smart, white male.
The
rough weather forced a few things into Nouster where 4 Red-throated Divers and
a succession of Gannets and Kittiwakes gave great views.
