Sunny and breezy
throughout with a Redstart the highlight of another meagre catch in the nets
while offshore a few Dunlin and Knot flew backwards and forwards and a couple
of Greylag Goose flocks went south; single Yellow Wagtail and Tree Pipit were
around the lighthouse and 3 Sparrowhawks and a Merlin bombed around.
There was an increased 76 Dunlin around the coast but
most other waders were reduced from yesterday and there were no oddities in
amongst them but did include a Spotted Redshank, 33 Golden Plover and 2 Ruff
while one of the three Slevdalsvann juvenile Marsh Harriers ventured out into
the recording area for the first time.
