SWEDEN - 13th July
A
decent morning’s ringing at Fågelsjön with a nice run of juvenile Sedge and
Reed Warblers first thing but it quickly tailed off with a male Whinchat and a
juvenile Blue-headed Wagtail the other highlights; the first returning Whimbrel was over the
fields (a Swedish tick!) along with 5 Curlew and a Golden Plover along with a
Peregrine and the heavily moulting Marsh Tit again. A look at Oset in the afternoon was quiet
with pairs of Whooper Swans and Red-necked Grebes with chicks and a White Admiral
the highlights.
