Still very windy from the
SW with plenty of sunshine so yet again it was a slog out in the field; I did
bits of the west coast census route where birds included 8 Redwing, a Snow
Bunting, a Wheatear, a Willow Warbler down Lenswick footpath and 45+ Skylarks
in Nether Linnay stubble field. A
little walk round the Obs coastline in the afternoon produced 2 late Arctic
Terns in Nouster and a female Peregrine sat on the rocks by Gretchen where a
big female Merlin also flew through.
