Still getting hammered by a blazing force 8 westerly wind
with vicious squalls whipping through so I naturally concentrated on the (relatively)
sheltered east side in the morning where birds around The Links and Hooking
included 2 Glaucous Gulls (a first
year and a third year) roosting with 120 Great Black-backed Gulls, the drake Smew relocated to Hooking and a single
Snow Bunting.
Totals
of other things included 17 Bar-tailed Godwits, 40 Sanderling, 2 adult Whooper
Swans, 75+ Redshank and 100+ Wigeon.
Despite the crazy winds the Fulmars were still having fun!
