With the high pressure
still dominating proceedings there was again not a cloud in the sky and hardly
a breath of wind but with the settled weather the turnover of birds is slowing
down so the nets were pretty quiet through the morning with 3 Treecreepers and
2 Blackcaps the only things of note; the only other birds through the morning
were at least 80 Fieldfares over Lebeltet – the first influx of the autumn and
a White-tailed Eagle sat out on
Skarvodden.
Despite the lovely, sunny and warm afternoon it was
really quiet compared to the previous few days with 2 Black Woodpeckers at Groda, a couple of trumpeting Northern Bullfinches in Lebeltet, 3
Wheatears on Steinodden, a Sparrowhawk and a couple more Blackcaps.
