A good morning ringing at Fågelsjön which, while it wasn’t super busy produced some excellent highlights with a smart 1cy Bluethroat (presumably the first immigrant of the autumn), a 1cy Water Rail unusually found high up in one of the nets, a massive 3cy female Sparrowhawk, single Spotted (the first 1cy of the autumn and the first one at this site) and Pied Flycatchers, 2 Lesser Whitethroats, 3 Marsh Warblers and a good number of Whitethroats including a couple of new adults and some new, still fluffy fledglings.
Other birds included 2 Meadow Pipits with the Yellow Wagtails and Tree Pipits in the fields and a good flock of 21 Ravens over to the south.
