NORTH RONALDSAY - 14th April
Bright and breezy still with the strong, cold SE wind
making it difficult out in the field; walked the west coast where it was fairly
sheltered but it was quiet with not too much up there, the highlight was the
first Willow Warbler of the year along the road by the
airstrip. Totals up the coast included
a Hen Harrier, a big 2cy Peregrine with a bulging crop which had probably
killed a drake Gadwall which had a Bonxie standing over it when I came along, a
Dunnock, 8 Robins, 9 Wheatears, a Redwing, 3 Chiffchaff and a Goldcrest.
