Wet and wild through the
morning with a very strong westerly near-gale; there was little on the sea with
a few Arctic Terns and a couple of Bonxies mooching about and not really moving
anywhere. Sunny in the afternoon but we
kept the very strong winds so birds seen along the sheltered side of Lebeltet
included a Spotted Flycatcher, 4 Whinchats, 3 Tree Pipits, a Garden Warbler, a
singing Wryneck and a handful of
Blackcaps, Willow Warblers and Chiffchaffs.
There were still 27+
Dotterel on the field at Vågsvoll before birds in Vågsvollvåien / Vågsvollvika
included a young female Merlin, a female Garganey, the drake Gadwall still, 3
Grey-headed Wagtails, the Grey Plover, 2 Wood Sandpipers, a Turnstone and 15+
Redshank.
Male Grey-headed and female Blue-headed Wagtails
