Overcast with a brisk ENE wind bringing persistent, light drizzle from late morning; a few bits went past over the sea which included 25 Common Scoter, 3 Fulmars, 3 Gannets, a flock of 12 Grey Plover (non-breeding plumaged birds – slightly odd), 4 Kittiwakes, 2 Little Terns, a Mediterranean Gull and 3 Sandwich Terns.
Other birds of note were thin on the ground but comprised a Black Redstart, a lingering Chiffchaff (originally ringed on 3rd June), a Grey Wagtail, ever-increasing Linnets up to 160+, a Sparrowhawk and a Turnstone.
