Heavy rain first thing delayed the start of the day for a few hours but it brightened up after a while to produce a selection of typical, autumnal, southbound migrants; over the sea, totals comprised 154 Dunlin, a Grey Plover, 25 Knot, single Curlew and Oystercatcher, 31 Wigeon, 13 Teal, 7 Shelduck, 6 Common Scoter, a Shoveler, 20 Pintail, 33 Brent Geese, 17 Sandwich Terns, 54 Cormorants, a Heron and a Razorbill.
Meanwhile, Landbirds included a smart adult Hobby which landed on the common briefly, 2 Sparrowhawks, 17 Swallows, 10 House Martins, a Sand Martin, 32 Meadow Pipits and 4 Chaffinches.
