Largely
dry and bright again with an increasing, blustery ENE wind and some much
desired showers moving in just after dark, ramping up the anticipation for
tomorrow; most of the highlights were again, lingering birds with the Hornemann’s Arctic
Redpollrelocating to Nether Linney,
the Grey-headed Wagtailat Garso, a single Yellow-browed
Warblerat
Lenswick and the Shorelark again in Nouster / Kirbest.Other birds included 3 Herons, a single
Whooper Swan south, 2 Hen Harrier, 2 Merlin, a Grey Plover, 6 Jack Snipe, the
first 2 Woodcockof the autumn, 2 Short-eared Owls, 3 Swallows,
9 Robins, a Whinchat, 9 Wheatears, 5 Fieldfare, 26 Song Thrush, 121 Redwing, 2
Garden Warblers, 8 Blackcap, 4 Chiffchaff, a Willow Warbler, 35 Goldcrest, 7
Chaffinches, 2 Brambling, a Lapland Bunting and 18 Snow Buntings.
