NORTH RONALDSAY - 1st August

With the light wind now coming in from the west the fog finally had dissipated by the morning leaving a decent day with extensive cloud cover only once in the morning turning to drizzle; the days highlight came early doors with a lovely, fresh juvenile Icterine Warbler trapped at Holland.   Other birds included 2 Manx Shearwaters offshore, 8 Herons, 4 Wigeon, 9 Shoveler, 7 Ruff, 1,280+ Arctic Terns, a Song Thrush also caught in Holland and the Garden Warbler again.
