NORTH RONALDSAY - 3rd May

Now firmly in the grip of a cold, strong northerly airflow bringing regular hail showers we naturally had a quiet day in the field; birds of note included 2 Pintail, a Knot on the beach at Brides (the first one since the wintering birds disappeared in mid-March), a Whimbrel, a Sandwich Tern, 2 Arctic Terns, 3 White Wagtails, 26 Wheatears and 2 Chiffchaff.
