NORTH RONALDSAY - 2nd May

A very different day with the wind now firmly in the NW and now very cold and very strong effectively putting a halt to any migration antics (and denting the enthusiasm of fieldworkers!) so numbers were much reduced through the day.

Totals included a Kestrel, another late Woodcock at the Obs, a Black-tailed Godwit, a Whimbrel, a Sandwich Tern, 5 Woodpigeons, a Collared Dove, a White Wagtail, 11 Robins, 21 Wheatears, 5 Fieldfare, a Redwing, 2 Lesser Whitethroats, 3 Blackcap, 7 Chiffchaffs, a Goldcrest and a Brambling.
