8th and 9th January
Didn’t
really do very much as it was largely cold and windy but I had good views of
the first-winter drake Ring-necked
Duck on
Pine Lake on the 8th along with 4 Scaup, 22 Pochard and a darvic ringed
Black-headed Gull and then a walk along Morecambe Promenade at high tide on the
9th produced the surprise find of a smart first-winter male Black Redstart on the rocks by the
Sailing Club hut thing.
