NORTH RONALDSAY - 2nd November

Blessedly calm all day, producing a good day in the field with the highlights of the Obs census route consisting of a Ring Ouzel in East Loch Park, a Black Redstart on the coast at The Lurn and a big female Peregrine; other birds included a Chiffchaff, 6 Robins, a Song Thrush, 23 Redwings, 33 Twite, a Great-northern Diver, 4 Long-tailed Ducks, the Green-winged Teal on Gretchen with 44 Teal and 41 Wigeon, 325 Golden Plover and a couple of flyover Snow Buntings.
