The wind had dropped away to around force 3 and switched
round to a very cold North-easterly; walked around census route B where
highlights included a ringtail Hen
Harrier at Brides and a flyover Snow Bunting; other totals included 140
Golden Plover, 95 Wigeon, 8 Great-northern Divers and 21+ Long-tailed Ducks
offshore and 30 Purple Sandpipers.
A
new adult male Hen Harrier was
cruising round the Obs in the afternoon which appeared to come in from the
south.
