A foggy start with the
wind switching round into the west but it was so light it failed to make much
of an impact on the fog although it did become clearer by the afternoon; a few
hours in Holland in the morning produced single Whitethroat and Chiffchaff along
with 2 re-trap Garden Warblers. The
Hooking census route was predictably quiet in the varying visibility although
my first Whinchat of the year was near the loch and a
female Pied Flycatcher was in Holland on my walk back through.
Starlings are emerging from everywhere
Plus this Fair Isle ringed bird
