Arrived back on North
Ronaldsay mid-morning after a hellish rough boat crossing; just had a little
walk round the coast from the Obs with the highlight being the usual drake Green-winged Teal on Gretchen whilst other counts included 283 Golden Plover and
32 Dunlin in the fields with a handful of Redwings and single Robin and Fieldfare
around the Obs.
A flock of sheep sent this Snipe running towards me and when he realised I was there he tried to use his camouflage but it didn't really work!
Great to see the Fulmars floating round the sheep dyke again
