Nice and sunny but a
blazing force 7 westerly wind made things very difficult, birds on the sea
first thing included another Pomarine
Skua, the first Little Stint of
the year which flew north with a group of Dunlin, 4 Bonxies, a Tystie and 400
Pale-bellied Brent Geese. There was
little else through the day with Red-backed Shrike, Wryneck and Cuckoo in the
area with the first Starling fledglings making themselves noisily obvious, the
7 Wigeon and single Barnacle Goose on Vågsvollvåien with a big build-up of
Gulls and a Sanderling in Vågsvollvika.
This Cuckoo posed amazingly well!
Brilliantly bright alpina Dunlin
